Moving out of London and into the suburbs to get married and have children, the London Fashion Scene seemed a million miles away. Little did I realise that my creative juices would be stimulated by the school playground.
I thought the London Fashion Industry was a political enviroment, but it's got nothing on the behaviour of mothers in your average school playground.
You'll see loners, cliques, backstabbing, arguments, even fisticuffs! But what intrigued me most was the amount of non-verbal communication occuring. The looks that passed between women, the messages that were being communicated without the recipients even being aware of it
That's where my motivation came from. I decided to give those politics and that non verbal communication a voice.
